Hand: the five cards a players chooses to play with.

Heads-up: when there are only two players playing against each other.

High-card: when a tournament starts a player has to start dealing. Everyone gets one card, the peron with the highest has the high-card.

Hi/Lo: a form of poker where the pot gets split at the end between the highest and the lowest hand.

Hold’em: another word for Texas Hold’em.

Hole Cards: these are the cards that are dealt to a player face down.

House: usually the casino but otherwise the location where the venue is taken place.
