                                         Rules: 7 Card Stud
7 Card Stud Rules:

7 Card Stud used to be the most popular online poker game before Texas Hold'em. The games are not really similar to each other but if you read these rules you will pick it up quite fast.

Before the game begins all the players have to post an ante, this is done so that there is something in the pot to start with. Now all the players at the table receive three cards each, two face down (hole cards) and one face up (door card), the first betting round can start now. After all the betting has finished the players that are left will each receive a second card, face up. The second betting round can commence. This will repeat itself until everyone has a total of seven cards, including the two hole cards. When this point in the game has been reached the showdown will take place.
