A hand of Soko starts when every player has put their ante into the pot; this is so that the pot starts with some cash for the betting later on in the game. Every player is dealt two cards, one face down (hole card) and the second face up. This is when the first betting round can start. The person with the highest face up card has to start the betting. If two or more players have the same value card then the order is as follows; Spades, Hearts, Diamonds and as last Clubs. After the first betting round all the players that are still in the game will receive a second face up card each. This is followed by a second betting round. This process repeats itself another two times until every player has 5 cards, 4 face up and one hole card, face down. After the last betting round all the players that are left in the game have to show their cards to their opponents, the showdown.

Soko is a great form of online poker and has its advantages. It is a pity that it has not caught on as fast as Texas Hold'em but it might well do in the future.
